Popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav, arrested by Noida Police in connection to the snake venom case on March 17, has been moved to a high-security barrack within the jail premises. The winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2 appeared before a local court on Sunday afternoon and was subsequently handed a 14-day jail sentence. Initially placed in a quarantine cell as per media reports, Elvish has now reportedly been transferred to a locked high-security barrack where mingling with other inmates is prohibited. Security measures include round-the-clock surveillance by two police personnel and a warden stationed outside the barrack. Sources indicate that Elvish faced a "sleepless" first night in confinement and was provided with three blankets to rest on the floor. His dinner on the initial day reportedly comprised halwa, puri, and vegetables served inside the jail. Contrary to his previous denials, Elvish has purportedly confessed to supplying snake venom for rave parties and acknowledged acquaintances with the other five accused individuals. Charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for drug-related activities, Elvish was slated to meet his family members on March 18, Monday.
In February 2024, following reports of snake venom traces found at a rave party, Elvish released a video criticizing the media and doubters. He vehemently refuted all accusations, challenging proof of his presence at the event by stating he would dance naked if proven otherwise.
